By tradition, my family celebrates Thanksgiving. The most interesting part is related to the Thankful Box. Family members are encouraged to write down a few things they are grateful for on paper and then place them in a decorated box. Later on, as the family eats dessert, the box is passed around the table for each person to pick up a note and read it aloud until the box is empty. It's so meaningful to hear heartfelt and sometimes humourous thank-you messages from family members.
