Tet is a significant holiday in Vietnam. The Tet season often lasts from the beginning of January to the end of February. Tet’s meaning is the finish of the old year and a welcome for a new year. Tet Holiday is one of the occasions for Vietnamese families to reunite. The branch of the Mai flower or the Kumquat tree can not be absent, adding a new feeling to the building. On the Tet holiday, people have plenty of traditional events. Young and old people take part in traditional games such as tug of war, rice cooking, watching lion dancing. A lot of people pay a visit to their relatives to wish a happy new year. Adults usually give lucky money to babies. People also go to pagodas to pray for their families. Tet holiday will stay in the heart of Vietnamese for generations.

Tết là một ngày lễ quan trọng ở Việt Nam. Mùa Tết thường kéo dài từ đầu tháng một tới cuối tháng hai. Ý nghĩa của Tết là kết thúc năm cũ và chào đón một năm mới. Tết Nguyên đán là một trong những dịp để các gia đình Việt Nam đoàn tụ. Dịp Tết thường không thể vắng mặt cành hoa mai hay cây quất, tạo thêm cảm giác mới cho cả nhà. Vào dịp tết, mọi người tham gia vào rất nhiều sự kiện truyền thống. Người trẻ và người già chơi các trò chơi truyền thống như kéo co, nấu cơm, xem múa lân. Rất nhiều người ghé thăm người thân của họ để chúc một năm mới hạnh phúc. Người lớn thường tặng lì xì cho em bé. Mọi người cũng đến chùa để cầu nguyện cho gia đình. Tết sẽ ở trong tâm trí của người Việt Nam qua nhiều thế hệ.
