1. Because David didn't wear his warm clothes, he got a bad cold.

2. I was sick, so I didn't go to school.

3. The streets aren't cleaned up today. 

4. Books and clothes are donated by us every year.

5. Our English lessons are taught by Ms Linh.

=> Bị động: S + be + V(pp).

6. It is six months since John last had his hair cut.

=> It + is + time + since + S + last + V(past simple).

7. I have never painted a portrait before.

=> S + has/have + never + V(pp) + before.

8. You should eat less meat and more vegetables. => S + should + V(inf).

9. His hobby is playing computer games.

10. I enjoy watching TV in the evening. => Enjoy doing sth.

11. I find learning English important. => Find sth adj.

12. Her book is different from mine. => Different from sth.

Ex13: Make sentences.

1. Tuan finds playing table tennis interesting because he can play it with his best friend.

=> Tuấn thấy chơi bóng bàn rất thú vị vì cậu ấy có thể chơi với bạn thân của mình.

2. My brother doesn't like ice-skating because he thinks it is dangerous.

=> Anh trai tôi không thích trượt băng vì anh ấy nghĩ rằng nó nguy hiểm.

3. Why don't you take up jogging? It will help you keep fit.

=> Tại sao bạn không tập chạy bộ? Nó sẽ giúp bạn giữ dáng.

4. My son and I love water so we go surfing together every summer.

=> Con trai tôi và tôi yêu nước nên chúng tôi cùng nhau đi lướt sóng vào mỗi mùa hè.

5. You need to be patient to make beautiful gifts from eggshells.

=> Bạn cần kiên nhẫn để làm ra những món quà xinh xắn từ vỏ trứng.

6. I think you should take up jogging because it is suitable for your health condition.

=> Tôi nghĩ bạn nên tập chạy bộ vì nó phù hợp với tình trạng sức khỏe của bạn.

Ex14: Make sentences.

1. You shouldn't play more computer games in your free time. => S + should + (not) + V(inf).

2. Vitamins play an important role in our diet. => Play an important role/part in sth.

3. Getting enough rest helps you to concentrate at school.

4. That dog is not as dangerous as it looks. => So sánh bằng: as + adj + as.

5. Schools in Viet Nam are different from schools in the USA.
