Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. During Tet, children often behave well and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other best wishes for the new year.

Tết là một dịp quốc lễ. Đây là dịp để mọi người Việt Nam có một khoảng thời gian vui vẻ để suy nghĩ về năm cũ và năm tiếp theo. Vào dịp Tết, các hội chợ xuân được tổ chức, đường phố và các công trình công cộng được trang trí rực rỡ và hầu hết các cửa hàng đều đông đúc người mua sắm Tết. Tại nhà, mọi thứ đều được dọn dẹp sạch sẽ, các món ăn truyền thống, các món ăn khác, nước ngọt, hoa và trầu cau được đặt trên bàn thờ tổ tiên cùng với những nén hương đã được thắp.
