I have many hobbies but reading is one of my favorites. Book has always been my close companion. Reading helps me improve my vocabulary because it contains a lot of new words. When I read I get a lot of concentration because it requires me to focus and what I read for a long time. Reading also opens up a lot of new knowledge such as learning about world history, understanding the structure of the human body or knowing the story of Sherlock Holmes. I think reading is the most enjoyable indoor activity.

My hobby is playing soccer in my spare time. After I finish my homework, I often use my free time to play soccer. I have been very interested in playing football since I was very young and I started learning how to play properly when I was 5 years old. I went to school when I was 5 years old. My father told the teacher about my football hobby. My teacher told me that there was a small sports center open every day at school so he could let his son join. Now, I really enjoy playing soccer and participating in inter-school competitions.
