Traditional Festivals in Vietnam play a very important role in attracting foreign tourists . There are many festivals in Viet Nam but I like Tet Holiday the most, which is also known as Lunar New Year holiday in Vietnam.

Tet is mostly held at the end of January and beginning of February. Before Tet, people usually prepare special food, clean and decorate the house. The house is decorated by couplets, peach blossom or apricot blossom. We also make banh chung, A traditional dish can't be missing at Tet holiday.

On Tet holiday, family reunion, we wear new clothes to go to relatives' house .We wish each other the best wishes and hope more luck will come. Especially, on this occasion, children receive lucky money from adults as a way to send good wishes in a new year. As for me, during Tet, I like to sit on the roof watching fireworks and eat jam with my family. It's so warm.
Tet is an occasion to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new year. As a start to get rid of all the debts and difficulties to start a year full of luck.

I love this period of time so much and look forward to it every year.

One of the most expected festivals in Vietnam is the Mid-Autumn Festival. This is a traditional event for children to celebrate the biggest full-moon in the year. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month in the lunar calendar, which is also the middle of Autumn - after harvest time. This festival is held in Vietnam and other Asian countries every year. During this special day, all the members of the family gather and prepare sweet fruits, children hold colourful lanterns with funny masks and all of them go to the street to enjoy the lantern parade with lion dance performances. The best part of this occasion is watching the moon - which is the symbol of the festival. And it is also said that this activity should be done at the middle of the night because at that time, the moon would be in the best period. For these reasons, the kids always look forward to the festival whenever the 8th Month in the Lunar Calendar comes.
