The main ingredients of the meal are mainly grains of rice, wheat, etc. because the two countries are located near the basins of large rivers, agriculture is quite developed, completely different from the West where people consider meat or animal protein as the main food.

Utensils: both countries use chopsticks to pick up meals (unlike the West uses cutlery, Indians use their hands). Besides, the rice bowl is equally important because the main food in the meal is rice, so a rice bowl is required during the meal.

Meals are very communal because they share the same dishes on the table, not divided into Western-style meals.

Taste: Depending on the country, the taste will also be different. However, in general, they all like sour, spicy, salty and sweet.

Vietnamese and Chinese both divide their daily meals into three meals (in the West, people divide them into more meals).
