According to the traditional order, the entrance ceremony is the first ceremony in a traditional Vietnamese wedding. However, in the Vietnamese social context when there is a lot of European cultures imported, the ritual can be removed. This is the official meeting of two families.
If the bride and groom or their parents are Buddhists, they will go to a fortune teller or some monk to see what date and time is beautiful for their wedding day. After the set date and time, ceremonies including betel, fruit, candies ... will be taken to the bride's house to prepare for the ceremony. When the bride's family agrees, the couple will burn incense and offer offerings to the ancestors' altar.
