On March 3 , 1847 , one of the famous inventor had been born in Edinburd – Alexander Graham Bell . He was Scotsman but he emigrated to Canada and then go to USA in the 1870s .

In America , he worked with deaf-mutes at the Boston University. Then , he started experimeting with ways of transmitting speech over a long distance .

After many experiments , Finally he and his assistant, Thomas Waston  came up with a device which they first introduced in 1876. Bell said on the phone “ Mr.Waston, come here. I want you  “ This was the first telephone message .

Then he travelled all over America and demonstrated his invention to the public at countless exhibitions and by 1877 the first telephone was in commercial use .

Finally,  on August ,  2^nd  1922 , He had died .
