It's great to know that you're coming to Viet Nam. Although you can stay in Ha Noi in only one day, I’m sure you can visits the most beautiful destinations here and enjoy the special dishes.

The one-day trip will include three places. First of all, depart from my house, we will go to the Temple of Literature and “Quoc Tu Giam”, which is the first university in Viet Nam. You can see the beautiful sights here and learn about the history. After that, let’s visit Hoan Kiem lake and enjoy the most famous ice-cream in Ha Noi. You can also visit Pen Tower and Ngoc Son temple as well. And the last destination is Old Quarters, which are near Hoan Kiem lake. Here you will enjoy special dishes like shrimps cakes, Pho, Nem,… Visiting 36 old streets, you can buy handicrafts and other traditional things as souvenirs.  

Conveniently, these places are close to one another, so we can walk around easily.

Tho Ha is the name of a craft village in Van Ha commune, Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province. It is an old village with charming scenery, banyan trees, water wharf, communal courtyard, old house folds deep in ancient alleys. Unlike villages in the Northern Delta, the Tho Ha people have absolutely no fields, their livelihood by rice from the river market, income from handicrafts and small businesses. Before 1960, the village was famous for making pottery, from 1990 here it was famous for making rice cakes and rice noodles.
Tho Ha has three sides of the river as an island, leaving the village is to take a boat. The village has two ferry terminals: the Pagoda wharf is in front of the communal gate, the lower boat station is in the Ba hamlet. Previously, the boat looked very dreamy by the rowing boat, but today it is motorized, so the boat is faster. Along the river bank of the village are boats and boats of the thousands of fishermen.
