Living in an extended family is proved to have both advantages and disadvantages. On the first place, it is undeniable that living in a multi-generational family has enormous benefits. First, parents become less busy when living with grandparents as they have their parents help with childcare. Also, household chores are shared for all people so the burden they need to shoulder becomes less. Second, children are likely to get closer relationship with their grandparents since they almost spend time together under one roof. However, living in such family has some practical drawbacks. First, everyone will feel lack of space, independence and privacy, especially children. This is due to the factthatover 3 generations live in a house it is often tight and cramped. Second, the household burden is less  but the daily expenses become higher since parents need to work more to earn enough money for both childcare and elderly care.
