Another change is that nowadays many managers would rather spend time with their families than stay lately in the office every day. Homelife seems to be just as important as working. Some companies now make managers take their annual holidays even if they don’t want to because this leads to such an improvement in their performance if they have a rest. Because of the changes, some people are working harder than never before. The standard of exams are getting higher, and increased competition is making it harder to get into university than it was 20 years ago. School children and students are now having to work so hardly that in many cases they work longer than their parents.
