The bar chart illustrates the number of opening and closure of magazines while the pie chart gives us a report on the percentages of genres of magazines opening in Southern Europe from 1995 to 2005. Overall, the number of opening and closure of magazines fluctuated greatly with the highest quantities of each section recorded in 2000 and 2015, respectively. Meanwhile, there were considerable differences in the proportion of types of magazines with a major rate belonged to the genre of entertainment and TV.

Firstly, at the outset of the fluctuation, the quantity of opening of magazines was 250 in 1995 before reaching a peak at 400 in 5 years later and then, decreased significantly to approximately 225 and 180 in 2010 and 2015, sequentially. Simultaneously, the figure for the closure of magazines had the lower starting point with just roughly 125 in 1995 prior to reaching a low at 40 in ten years later and rocketed to just over 350 and 380 in 2010 and 2015, respectively.  

Secondly, the magazine of Entertainment and TV opened accounted for the highest rate of 35% that was more than 5% in comparison to the figure for the genre of Music. Next, 21% and 9% were the percentages of magazines specializing in Hobbies and Business, Finance, Politics, sequentially. Eventually, the category called “Other” occupied just 5% that was the lowest number in the same period
