Every year, everyone has a Tet holiday. I enjoyed that time, having fun with my family. The most favorite is New Year's Eve. Opening the new year prosperous. On the first day of the new year, my family and I go to the temple to receive fortune, wish the neighbors New Year's wishes and eat traditional dishes together. On the second day, I and my parents went to wish my paternal New Year greetings and went there for lunch. The last day, my parents and I wish my mother's New Year's Eve and sleep there.

Vietnam's New year is know as Tet. It begins between 21st January ang 19th Peburary. The exact date changes from year to year. Tet lasts 10 days. The first three days are most important. Vietnamese people believe that what people do during those days will influence the whole year. As a resulf,they make very effort to avoid arguments and smile as much as possible. Vietnamese peolpe believe that first person through the door on New Year's Day can bring either good or bad luck. Children receive lucky money as they do in other countries.
