Using phones in class is a controversial topic. Many schools nowadays still abandon smartphones usage in their classes due to several drawbacks of phones. To begin with, smartphones are great distractions as students might easily pay too much attention on them instead of the lessons. Secondly, students may overuse them or use them for wrong purposes such as texting, playing games, surfing webs,... Last but not least, it’s not fair when smartphones are allowed in classrooms especially when there is an exam to take. In short, I believe it is the lesson delivered by the teachers that students need to focus on not phones. However, smartphones can be used smartly if there are proper regulations.
