Akihabara is famous all over the world as it is a neighborhood with shops specializing in electronics and shops for Otaku. "Otaku" is a Japanese slang word for someone who loves anime (animation), manga (comics), Vocaloid or video games, cosplay (costume), 2D things (paper character).   Everyday, this neighborhood is always crowded with domestic and foreign tourists, stopping by to search for the latest electronic products as well as Otaku items that are hard to get anywhere else. It can be said that Akihabara is one of the shopping paradise in Tokyo, with the harmony between Otaku culture and electronics town.
