Tet is the biggest festival in the country. This is an opportunity for all Vietnamese to have a good time thinking about the last year and the next year. On the occasion of Tet, the spring fair is held, the streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are packed with shoppers for Tet. At home, everything is cleaned, special food is cooked, food, soft drinks, flowers and betel nuts are made on the family altar with burning sticks of wood emitting air. The first step was taken when the lucky guest arrived and the children received the lucky money wrapped in a small red envelope. Tet is also a time for peace and love. During Tet, children are well behaved and friends, relatives and neighbors give each other the best wishes for the new year.

The Mid-Autumn Festival picked up a lamp to meet you last year. Mom bought me a butterfly lantern. In the evening of the full moon in August, when I heard the frog drumming in the alley, I quickly carried a lantern and joined the tiny army and headed for the wide lawn in the neighbor's head and gathered in a circle around the yard. After the announcement from the sister in charge, we lined up in a long line around the neighborhood, headed by two dragons. Where the light procession lights go, the drum sound goes up there, making the neighbors bustle like a big festival. Picking up the lights for a while, we went back to the grass to prepare for the break. The performance was equally as fun as the procession of the lamp. We ate candy, fruit, and did the music. When the moon was high, we left.

That festival has left me with many unforgettable memories.

Hội Trung thu rước đèn họp bạn hồi năm ngoái thật là vui. Mẹ mua cho em một chiếc đèn lồng hình con bướm. Tối hôm rằm tháng Tám, khi nghe thấy trống ếch dồn dập ngoài ngõ, em vội xách đèn lồng ra nhập vào đoàn quân tí hon tiến về bãi cỏ rộng đầu xóm rồi quây thành vòng tròn quanh bãi. Sau lời tuyên bố của chị phụ trách, chúng em xếp thành hàng dài đi vòng quanh xóm, đi đầu là hai con rồng. Đèn rước đèn đèn đi đến đâu, tiếng trống vang lên đến đó, làm cả xóm náo nhiệt lên như ngày hội lớn. Rước đèn được một vòng, chúng em quay lại bãi cỏ để chuẩn bị phá cỗ. Tiết mục phá cỗ cũng không kém phần vui vẻ như khi rước đèn. Chúng em vừa ăn bánh kẹo, hoa quả, vừa tiến hành văn nghệ. Khi ông trăng đã lên cao, chúng em mới ra về.

Ngày hội đó đã để lại cho em nhiều kỉ niệm khó quên.
