During the year, there are many festivals going on, but the one I love the most is the Chinese New Year. Tet Nguyen Dan is a traditional Vietnamese holiday, an opportunity for everyone to return home and together in a warm atmosphere. Before Tet, people usually shop for a lot of animals such as confectionery, food, jam, clothes, and decorations, and clean the house. The street is beautifully decorated with colorful lights. Flags and flowers are also hanging everywhere. In my hometown, everyone’s family wrapped Banh Chung on Tet. On Tet holiday, there are also many other dishes, all delicious and attractive. On the last day of the year, everyone will eat the party together, of course, and have a nice chat. On the first day of the year, everyone will come to each other’s house and give each other the most meaningful wishes. Children will receive lucky money from adults. In the first days of the year, people also go to the temple to pray for peace and luck. Tet is not only an ordinary festival, it is also a cultural beauty of Vietnam. I really like Tet, because it is an opportunity for my family to be together.
