In August 1971, a terrible flood occurred in the North. It has killed many people, destroyed crops and killed farmers' cattle. Causing huge damage to the economy for Vietnam. Fortunately, the government has helped the people so they can overcome difficulties.

Before, a flood in 2012 caused great damage to Thanh Hoa province. As we know, flood happens when there's heavy rain for many days. The effects of the flood was severe. All homes, trees and animals were flooded. The water got to the roof of houses. There was not many people who were injured. The government as well as the authority tried their best in rescusing workers trapped in the flood. They also brought them to safe place. In short, thanks to the active response of the government, the negative effect of the flood was minimized.
