Drought is a long time when there is little rain or no rain. Drought occurs due to climate change and deforestation. It is hard to know when it started. Signs include: less rain, dry soil, high temperatures for weeks. According to statistics from 2019-2020, Southeast Asia is home to the most drought-stricken nations such as Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand. It adversely affects the health and life of people. For example: Increasing temperatures cause health effects, many plants die due to lack of water, people become angry, uncomfortable ... So, to prevent drought we need to plant trees that need less water, can hold water, build a reservoir to store water ...

Disasters can be classified as natural disasters, technological disasters, or complex emergencies. The latter include civil wars and conflicts. These classifications are arbitrary and refer to the immediate trigger-natural phenomenon or hazard (biological, geological, or climatic); a technologically originated problem; or a conflict. In reality, all disasters are complex events stemming from the interaction of external phenomena and the vulnerability of man and society.A public health approach to disaster risk management will aim to decrease the vulnerability by adopting prevention and mitigation measures to reduce the physical impact and to increase the coping capacity and preparedness of the health sector and community, in addition to providing traditional emergency care (response) once the disaster has occurred.
