At the beginning of the school year, my mother bought me a full range of school supplies, including a black pencil that I really like.

My pencil is about the length of an adult's hand, a bit bigger than a chopstick for eating rice. Outside, it is covered with a bright yellow paint like a loofah. The silver-gray letters stand out on the gold background, dazzling to the eyes. I don't know what's written on it. Listen to my mother say: "This pencil is an imported product, son!". Maybe that's why I couldn't read the whole line. I only know a few letters, two of which are explained by my mother as symbols for the softness and hardness of each type of pencil. My pencil is soft. My favorite is a round knob with light pink color used to erase every time I draw or write wrong.

The pencil has become my dear friend ever since, I don't know. It is always beside me when studying and doing homework. The small and beautiful pen is like the magic pencil in the fairy tale that I have learned, and together with me, I will draw portraits of my father, my mother, my sister and the soldiers who watch day and night. guarding the sea, sky, dear country, along with familiar scenes that I encounter every day such as roads, rivers, villages... Pencil will also help me find problems with finding x and finding y. I create soaring poems praising our peaceful lives and sweet childhoods today. Many and many!

During the time I went to school, books, notebooks and pens are the things that I always consider as friends and they are also indispensable items for students. Among those items, my favorite is the pencil because it's a gift my father gave me on my birthday, because I have a hobby of drawing, so the pencil is very important to me.

I still remember that day, the birthday that I felt the most joy and happiness, it was the first gift that my father gave me after many years of working away from home. Since then, I always cherish, preserve and use it every day in my study work. The body of the pen is made of wood, its surface is painted in a beautiful yellow color on the top of the pen, there is also a place to erase when I make a mistake, the pen is about 8cm long. At first glance, the pen seems quite simple, but it has a very special and quite sophisticated design. Although this pen has the same structure and function as other pens, I feel the difference from this pen, since I use it the writing becomes neater and more distinctive. Especially it helps me to draw very beautiful pictures when I draw family pictures.


 
I secretly thank my father for giving me this very meaningful gift, at school or at home that pen is always a friend and also a memory that will follow me in my student life, every time I see and use it. Using it is like seeing my father in the distance...
