Wherever one goes, there is a place to return to. That is home. My home is a small two-story house that has been with me since I was born.

The house was built 10 years ago by my father's design, but it still looks new. The house is dressed in a bright blue shirt. The main door and window are cleaned regularly by the sisters, so they look clean and shiny. On the porch, my father hangs 2 white and pink orchids. It seems, thanks to them, my house becomes more poetic.

The first floor is the living room and the kitchen. The second floor is the room for parents and two sisters. The living room is beautifully decorated by my mother. In the middle of the living room is a small and elegant brown wooden chair. On the drinking table is a vase of fresh flowers to decorate the living room more vividly. The ancestral altar is solemnly placed at the top, directly towards the entrance.

My father is a watch enthusiast. So on the wall, Dad hung 5 beautiful clocks. To the right is the kitchen and also the dining room. On the second floor, the rooms of parents and sisters are very neat, clean and cozy. I was bought by my parents for a set of study tables and chairs right near the airy window, where there is a romantic bougainvillea. Although the house does not have many luxurious things, every time I return home, I feel very comfortable and cozy. Around my house is a vegetable garden and herb garden. There are many plants and flowers in the garden.


 
Someone once said "There is no place like home". I love my family's little nest very much. It will stick with you since childhood for the rest of your life.

Many people dream to have a modern house located in the city, however, I love my house in my peaceful hometown. My house has only 2 floors and is not spacious, but the space is enough for a family to live cosily. My father painted the house blue, which is my favourite colour, and the ceiling is beautifully decorated with star and moon ornaments. My mother loves natural lights rather than artificial lights so each room has its own large windows. There is a balcony in my bedroom, where I can enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea every morning. We have a large garden where we plant flowers, which I can’t have if we live in the city. Because I have a job in the city, I only visit my house twice a month.
