People change every unit of time. You are not yourself yesterday. Life changes as well. Thinking about life in the past, there were many good things then and there are many better things now too.

In the past, you did not have so many electric devices like nowadays, so you spend more time with nature, with your family, with your friends. The environment back then was more fresh and less polluted.

However, the medical condition was not as good as now, people died from so many simple and easy to treat diseases. Means of communication were limited as well.

If I have the chance to go back, I would just choose to go back for a period of time to enjoy the good things back then. After all, everything grows up and grows better.

Life in the past is one part of maturity. In personal life, the warm glow of nostalgia amplifies good memories and minimizes bad ones about experiences and relationships, encouraging us to revisit and renew our ties with friends and family. It always involves a little harmless self-deception, like forgetting the pain of childbirth. There’s nothing wrong with celebrating the good things in our past. But memories, like witnesses, do not always tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. We need to cross-examine them, recognizing and accepting the inconsistencies and gaps in those that make us proud and happy as well as those that cause us pain. I would never want to go back in time and do things differently. No matter what. I would never want to undo my failures, as much as they hurt me. I would never want to unwind the clock and try to skip past the painful moments or try to live a perfect life because it’s my failures that have shaped and molded me the most. Not my successes.
