Re: My friend won’t forgive me!

Current mood: I’m so desperate!

M., one of my close friends has just got a boyfriend. When she first told me about that, I was shocked because she had once told me that she would never get involved ina romantic relationship until she finished university. Then she made me promise not to tell anyone about her secret. However, I accidentially revealed it with some other friends. Her story spread quickly and soon everyone knew about it. Her parents opposed the relationshipand forced her to break up with the boy.They said getting involved in such a romantic relationship would distract her from her studies. She had a broken heart. She also said I betrayed her trust and stopped talking to me. I made an apology to her but she didn’t accept it. Now I feel regretful for what happened. I wish she would forgive me and we would become friends again. What should I do?

My best friend, Hoa, decided to drop out of school and start working to help her parents.In my class, she was one of the best students.She not only always got high marks on exams but also was a good friend because of her kindness.She helped us with our homework, gave us encouragement to overcome our troubles. Hoa’s family is very poor. Both of her parents are farmers.Although they work hard in the fields all year round, they can’t earn enough money to cover their everyday needs.Of course, they can’t support Hoa to go to school.She loves her family so much and she doesn’t want to be a burden on her parents, so she dropped out of school and started working.Since she left school, my class has missed her so much and all of us wish we could do something to help her to continue her education.
