For the first time, I saw with my own eyes the artist playing the lute at the Ethnic Art Festival. The gourd looks unique: it has only one string attached to the bent neck, the tip of which goes through half a dry gourd; The other end is attached to a wooden stand about a meter long. I heard that in the past, the lute strings were made of silk. Today, the gourd is more improved: the dried gourd shell is replaced by a wooden box, the strings are metal strings. The sound of the lute trumpet sounds soft, dull, humming, pinching, holy,... so magical. The artist uses the right hand to hold the plectrum, the left hand is very soft to touch the fretboard when performing. Seeing the lute, listening to the sound of the lute, did I realize how talented Vietnamese people are, and their souls are also very beautiful.
