Doing something for the first time can be a memorable memory for anyone, and for me the first day of class is a memory that I will never forget. It was a beautiful autumn morning, I sat behind my mother's bicycle with an anxious feeling when I had to go to school for the first day. Some people had teased me by saying that the teachers at school were very strict and scary, and I was angry at my mother because she was about to leave me with them. At school, my mother took me to the classroom to meet my teacher, and suddenly I nestled in her lap like a little chick that was afraid of the world. My mother and the teacher laughed at my expressions, but she did not forget to reassure me that my teacher was a gentle and lenient lady. Although I heard that clearly, I still refused to look at her, and I kept facing my mother’s lap until she spoke to me. I still remember her soft voice, and that was the thing that erased my negative thoughts. I looked at her curiously, and to this day I still think that she is the second most beautiful person after my mother. After taking me and my classmates into our class, she spent the rest of the time getting us to know each other and the atmosphere at school. I did not remember what I had learned that day, what I remember were just the cheerful laughs of my teacher and friends. Since we all spent time kindergarten, no one cried as their parents left. It was a good day for me, and although I had forgotten many things when I was a little kid, I still remember the day I went to first grade.
